Changelog
What changed in each version, in plain words. The record starts at 5.0 — the rewrite.
5.1
August 2026
A small update, made of things people noticed.
- The streak is now yours to turn off. One switch in Settings hides the day count everywhere — the app, the widgets, your watch. Your sits are still recorded; the number is simply no longer looking at you.
- If Health logging was ever denied, the Health switch now tells you where to turn it back on instead of quietly switching itself off. The daily reminder does the same for notifications.
- The screen begins its fade ten seconds into a sit — a touch sooner than before.
5.0
August 2026
The rewrite, and the move to a one-time purchase: pay once, and nothing inside the app ever asks you for money again — no subscription, no ads, no account. For everyone who already owned it, nothing changed.
- Pure Silence now speaks German, French, Spanish, and Japanese — the app, the widgets, the Apple Watch, and Siri.
- Start a sit by asking Siri, from Control Center, or from a Shortcut. Widgets start a session with one tap.
- The screen gently dims a few seconds into a sit and stays awake — the timer is there when you glance, without being a lamp in a dark room. A tap brings it back.
- Your total time in silence sits beside your streak on the stats screen.
- Export your whole history as a plain CSV from Settings. Your data is yours.
- iCloud sync starts off and waits for you to switch it on.
- On Apple Watch the timer holds itself open as a meditation, not a workout — no workout in your Health data, and Health logging follows your iPhone's setting.
- A long pass over reliability: sessions keep their time across locks, calls, and nights in the background; widgets and complications stay in step across midnight; VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and Reduce Motion all got a full sweep.
